Unfortunately, David’s physical limitations prevent him from experiencing what most children take for granted—playing actively and forming friendships. Although he cannot speak due to spasticity in his tongue muscles, he is mentally sharp and dreams just like any other child. David is incredibly friendly, but children his age often struggle to understand why he is different and tend to gravitate toward others. As a result, his closest companions are adults and his loving parents.
